In 1995, a group of highly respected area ophthalmologists, all affiliated with Crouse Hospital, decided to maximize their ability to provide you with the best of care and vision results by combining their eye correction services through LaserView of Central New York.

After receiving approval from the FDA, LaserView of CNY opened in March 1996 and began performing PRK laser surgeries.  Their mission to bring the highest technology available to this area, and their commitment to continuous improvement in care and treatment has helped the practice grow.

Since then they have performed more than 6,000 LASIK and PRK surgeries, helping thousands see clearly without glasses.  Four new lasers, and several upgrades to its laser equipment and doctor education mean state-of-the-art technology is always available to Central New Yorkers. 

All surgeries are performed at our high tech center in Liverpool (see map) through the use of the most advanced, FDA approved laser technology.

Equipment

To help your surgeon determine that you are a good LASIK candidate, he uses our Bausch & Lomb Zywave and Obscan II diagnostic systems.

Currently, LaserView of CNY is using the 100Hz laser from Bausch & Lomb.  It enables the surgeons to treat a wide range of refractive errors.  Its results were the best in FDA clinical trials.  It has the widest treatment zone, reducing night vision problems.  It also has a sophisticated eye tracker, so movement isn't a problem. And with Zyoptix®, personalized laser vision correction is available for those who will benefit from customized treatment.

Laserview is proud to provide Intalase Technology, All Laser Lasik, to our patients. This bladeless lasik option is the latest technology in refractive surgery.
